Loved the "private beach access" that was shared with half of the town, "complimentary wired Internet" that never worked, and the "continental breakfast" that consisted of sad toast and instant coffee.
Such a shame, but I just didn't enjoy the constant smell of sewage in my room. Such a unique aroma!

The view from the room was simply breathtaking, with unobstructed views of the lake and the sound of waves hitting the shoreline creating a serene atmosphere. The well-maintained garden added to the overall beauty of the location. Additionally, the staff, especially the security personnel, were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make our stay memorable.
There were a few areas that could be improved. The restaurant closed a bit too early, which was inconvenient at times.

My friends and I recently stayed at a charming lakeside lodge for a short break from Kigali. The location was perfect for lounging around and enjoying the breathtaking views. The garden was beautifully maintained and provided a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. We were impressed by the comfortable beds, clean rooms, and friendly staff. The owners, Josephine and Jose, were excellent hosts and made our stay even more enjoyable. The delicious avocado salad, brochettes, and delightful desserts at lunch were a pleasant surprise.
Can just recommend this hotel.

I had an amazing stay here. The hotel is close to the city and has a stunning garden with incredible views of the lake. The rooms are superb and beautifully decorated with intricate wood carvings. Each room has a balcony overlooking the garden and lake. The staff were very friendly and went above and beyond to help me. The food in the restaurant was delicious and the views from there were breathtaking.
Absolutely nothing.

I had a wonderful weekend at a peaceful hotel with stunning views of the lake and a beautiful garden. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The rooms were modern and comfortable, with balconies offering breathtaking views. The restaurant served delicious meals, and the open-air dining area was beautifully decorated with African flair. The hotel even had a private rock shoreline for swimming and offered boat tours from their dock.
The only downside was that the showers had lukewarm water, which was a bit disappointing.

The guestrooms at Hakuna Matata Lodge are simply amazing! I loved how they had free Internet and free newspapers, perfect for staying connected. Plus, the free bottled water and room service were a great touch. The fully equipped kitchen and sun terrace with lake views made me feel right at home.
Personally, I wasn't a fan of the showers with rainfall showerheads. But hey, that's just my preference.
